What We Do
A Clear Process.
A Fixed Price. No Surprises.
Most attorneys bill by the hour. We don't. Every plan at Campen Estate Planning starts with a single, agreed-upon flat fee — quoted before we begin, fixed for the duration of your plan. No billing meter, no rushed meetings, no invoice that looks different from what you expected. Ask everything you need to ask. The fee stays the same.
Here's exactly what the process looks like, from the first phone call to a plan that stays current as your life changes.

Step 1:
The Free 15-Minute Phone Consultation
No preparation required. This call is designed to answer your first questions, give you a clear picture of what a plan would look like for your family, and help us understand what you actually need. If we're a good fit, we'll schedule your design meeting from there.
Step 2:
The Design Meeting
This is where the real planning happens. Daniel meets with you personally to walk through your family's situation, your goals, and the decisions that will shape your plan. You'll talk through who you want to protect, who you'd trust to act on your behalf, and what you want to happen — in plain language, without pressure.
By the end of this meeting, you'll have a clear picture of your plan and know exactly what it will cost.
Step 3:
Document Review and Signing
Once your documents are prepared, we walk through them with you before you sign anything. You'll understand what each document does, why it's structured the way it is, and what to do if anything changes. This is also where we conduct the Family Legacy Interview — a recorded or documented session where you capture your personal history, your values, and your messages to the people you love. It becomes a permanent part of your estate plan.
Step 4:
The Three-Year Review Cycle
Estate planning isn't a one-time transaction. Laws change, families change, and assets change — and your plan should keep up. We reach out proactively every three years to check in and make sure your plan still reflects your life. You don't have to remember to call us. We'll call you.
What Sets This Practice Apart
A lot of firms will take your information, produce a set of documents, and send you on your way. That's not how we work.
Daniel is personally present at nearly every client meeting. He guides you through decisions — he doesn't just report back on them. And because we operate on flat fees, there's no financial pressure built into any part of the process. You get the time you need.
Common Questions Before the First Call
Is the consultation really free?
Yes, completely. The 15-minute phone consultation has no cost, no obligation, and no preparation required. It exists to answer your first questions and help you figure out whether moving forward makes sense for your family.
How much does estate planning cost in Georgia?
It depends on the type of plan your family needs. Because we charge flat fees, you'll know the exact cost before any work begins — there's no hourly billing and no uncertainty. The free consultation is the fastest way to get a specific answer for your situation.
What documents will I receive?
Let's Start a ConversationThat depends on your plan. Most families receive some combination of a will, financial power of attorney, healthcare power of attorney, and advance directive for healthcare. Families with more complex needs may include a revocable living trust, special needs trust, or other documents. Daniel will walk you through exactly what your plan includes before you commit to anything.
Do I need to bring anything to the first meeting?
Not to the phone consultation — just yourself and your questions. Before the design meeting, it's helpful to have a general sense of your assets, the people you'd want to name in your documents, and any specific concerns on your mind. We'll guide you through the rest.
What is the Family Legacy Interview?
It's a recorded or documented session conducted at the signing stage of your plan. We ask you about your personal history, your values, and the messages you want to leave for the people you love. It becomes a permanent part of your estate plan — something your family will have long after the legal work is done.
Do estate planning attorneys charge flat fees?
Some do, most don't. Hourly billing is still the norm at many firms, which creates pressure — for the client and sometimes the attorney — to keep meetings short and questions to a minimum. Our flat fee model eliminates that friction entirely. You pay one agreed-upon price, and the process takes as long as it needs to.
